Trailflex Permeable Paving in Sutton-in-Ashfield

Recently, our Trailflex Porous Paving was utilised in a significant project at the Kingsmill Reservoir bridge for Network Rail

Project Overview:

Appointed by AmcoGiffen, we successfully completed the installation of 980m² of paving, replacing the existing rubber tiles that had been problematic due to lifting issues.

The decision to replace the old rubber tiles stemmed from ongoing maintenance challenges and safety concerns associated with their lifting. Our Trailflex Porous Paving provided a robust and aesthetically pleasing solution that meets the demands of the environment while ensuring durability and safety.

Reservoir Bridge

Porosity and Drainage: Trailflex is designed to allow water to permeate through its surface, reducing surface water runoff and minimising the risk of flooding. This is particularly beneficial in areas prone to heavy rainfall.

Durability: Made from high-quality materials, Trailflex is resistant to wear and tear, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas such as bridges. Its longevity ensures reduced maintenance costs over time.

Safety: The non-slip surface of Trailflex enhances safety for pedestrians and cyclists, providing a secure footing even in wet conditions. Additionally, this bridge is part of a bridleway for horses, effectively minimising vibrations from the metal bridge that could otherwise transmit through their hooves, enhancing the comfort and safety of both horse and rider.

Aesthetic Appeal: Available in various colours, including the Onyx shade used in this project, Trailflex can enhance the visual appeal of any infrastructure, blending seamlessly with the surrounding environment.
